Refund policy
At Mod & Co., many of our products are custom-modified, hand-processed, or refurbished mechanical keyboard switches. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
Returns Window
We offer a 7-day return window from the date your order is delivered. Requests submitted after this period will not be eligible for review.
To request a return, please contact us at support@modandco.store within 7 days of receiving your order.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, items must:
- Be unused and uninstalled
- Be returned in their original packaging
- Be in the same condition as received
Proof of purchase is required for all return requests.
Because switches are precision components, any signs of installation, soldering, insertion into sockets, or modification after delivery will void return eligibility.
Custom & Modified Products (Important)
Most Mod & Co. products are custom-modified or hand-processed to order, including but not limited to:
- Lubrication
- Cleaning and refurbishment
- Filming or spring swaps
- Vintage or discontinued switch processing
- Breaking in by machine
- Diamond polishing
As a result:
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for custom or modified products
Minor variations in sound, feel, or appearance are normal and expected, especially with vintage or older production switches
Absolute consistency cannot be guaranteed due to material age, batch variance, and manual processing
These characteristics do not constitute defects.
Damages, Faults, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
If your item arrives:
- Damaged
- Defective beyond reasonable manufacturing or vintage variance
- Incorrect (wrong product sent)
Please contact support@modandco.store within 48 hours of delivery, including photos and a brief description of the issue. We will assess the issue and determine an appropriate resolution.
Minor cosmetic imperfections, acoustic variance, or switch-to-switch differences are not considered faults.
Returns Process
All returns must be approved before being sent back.
Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to an error on our part.
As Mod & Co. does not currently operate a public business address, return instructions will be provided via email if a return is approved.
Refunds
If a return is approved:
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Processing may take up to 10 business days after approval
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable
Payment providers may take additional time to process and display refunded funds.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a refund or replacement for major faults as defined by law.
